Only a few steps past Wallsé’s sidewalk tables is the Upholstery Store, Wallsé chef and owner Kurt Gutenbrunner’s storage-room-cum-wine-bar. Wines hail from Napa to Morocco, and the food is no afterthought — Gutenbrunner’s Austrian-inspired bar snacks include smorgasbord-style dishes of liver pâté, creamy cheeses, and pickled vegetables.

There’s truth in advertising at this breezy neighborhood beer bar—dogs are always welcome, leashes are optional, and there’s even a bubble-gum machine in the corner that dispenses treats for free. There’s plenty on hand for the humans as well, including twenty beers on tap and a lovely back patio.

Owner Mary O’Halloran's new pub replaces sawdust and shamrocks with a clean black-and-white palette highlighted with ornate mirrors and a large mural on the back wall. The food skews traditional, however, with Dublin-style fish and chips and shepherd’s pie.
The Wing Bar

The family-owned Wing Bar, located in the former Panino'teca 275 space, was opened with the dudes in mind. No-frills draft-beer options include Bud Light, Coors Light, and the most gourmet of the bunch, Westchester’s own Captain Lawrence, all of which can be ordered by the pitcher — better grab a couple if you’re ordering your wings extra spicy.
